About us

Independent mortgage advice — assessed against the whole market.

Mortgages UK-Wide is a whole-of-market mortgage broker. We assess every client's income structure, credit profile and property requirements against the full range of available lenders — not just the products on a restricted panel.

How we work

Every enquiry is assessed individually. Before recommending a lender, we review your affordability, Loan-to-Value, employment type and credit history to identify which lenders are most likely to approve and at what rate.

This matters because lender criteria varies significantly. A self-employed applicant declined by one lender may be approved by another that takes a different view of retained profits. A CCJ from three years ago may be accepted by specialist lenders who won't touch recent adverse credit.

We don't submit applications speculatively. We match first, then apply — which protects your credit file and improves your approval rate.

How we approach every case

Thorough assessment. Direct advice. No guesswork.

Whole of Market We search across all available lenders — not a restricted panel. Your recommendation is based on which lender's criteria best matches your application.
Direct Communication You speak directly to the adviser handling your case. Updates are clear, timely and based on what's actually happening with your application.
Case by Case No two applications are the same. We assess your specific income, credit profile and property requirements — not a generic checklist.

Who we work with

  • First-time buyers — explaining the process and identifying suitable high-LTV products
  • Home movers — porting advice and new mortgage applications
  • Remortgage clients — rate reviews, equity release and term changes
  • Self-employed applicants — accounts, SA302s, contractor income
  • Buy-to-let investors — individual and limited company, including portfolios
  • Clients with adverse credit — CCJs, defaults, IVAs and missed payments
  • Bridging finance clients — auction, chain break and refurbishment
